After the better part of a decade, I'm tired.

Sure, it's been fun checking out so many different basses, and buying and trading, but there comes a time where a man gets tired and needs to settle down. A time where a man can be with someone he can count on, someone he can make beautiful music with. A man who's learned that glitz and glamour often disguise an empty, dull core, and that simplicity and identity are the keys to a long and productive relationship. One that is strong, fruitful, and spontaneous.

And so, my friends, it is with surprising calm I retire from the classifieds and announce my monogamous relationship. That's right, I am now a one-bass man.

I can't seem to get away from reading Dingwall threads, and I've never really thought about buying one, however - I'm more than curious about the new Nolly NG2 4 string with the Darkglass Tone Capsule. I bet it sounds great strung BEAD or even drop A.

First of all, I appreciate the simplifying theme. Purge the things you don't really need. The path of decent. Downwardly mobile. It's good. And the bass you choose to keep is good. Real good.

On the other hand, I'm also a cyclist. We have a rule: The correct number of bikes to own is n+1, where n is the number of bikes currently owned. There is a corollary: The correct number of bikes to own is: s-1, where s is the number of bikes owned that would result in separation from your partner. Replace "bike" with "basses" and you're good to go in the bass world.

this is too funny as I recently got back into cycling and have two bikes and building another...while purging basses to pay for said bikes...lol
