It's Christmas Day! Who's practicing today?

Forgot to pack my bass for the flight...

Spending Christmas in Phoenix this year. Gonna be a harsh return with a winter storm dumping potentially 6+ inches of snow and below zero temps in the next few days before we fly home on Saturday.
Hey Steve,
I've got the opposite problem: I live in Tucson year 'round, but next week I fly to CT for two weeks to see family...haven't bern there during winter in five years...it's gonna be a rude awakening...
Merry Christmas...and enjoy the sun!

That would be me. I could take the day off from playing, but I don't want to. Already had to get up early and drive around to take care of other people's cats, and I have a few chores to do to get ready for my dinner guests, and there are more cats to feed later on. But in-between I will run through some stuff I'm learning, just because it makes me happy. How about you, what are your plans?
I'm working on my faux country guitar solo licks thia morning....on bass, of course!
I work at a musical comedy-based theater; the next production has a country-weatern theme....since the band--piano, bass, drums--always has solo spots, it's fun to do my best chicken-pickin' imitation

After the family all left and the wife went to the beach - no white Christmas in Oz - I had some time to myself.
Excellent!
Grabbed the bass, turned on the amp and went for it. I’m experimenting with different foam materials for muting and learning some old soul tunes for a show coming up in the new year and sounding very thumpy right now.

I played a ukulele for about 45 minutes at my son’s house. Bass gear is about 1,100 miles away at home.
