I just recieved my new '05 LE Stingray in Buttercream.... mmmm, buttercream:smug:

I got the 2 band eq this time around as I found myself rarely using the mid control on my previous 'ray.
But fellas, construction-wise.... this bass is incredible. My first one was as well. Every Stingray i've ever picked up has been incredibly well built. The finish, frets, neck pocket, action, everything.
And that unfinished neck.... back home again.:hyper:

I wanted a butter ray!!! Couldn't find one so I ended up going something I had never considered before...The Trans Teal !! I love my teal ray now, but those butter rays still stand out to me.

Personally i would go the 3 band eq as I never leave my mid knob alone, but other than that......Very, Very cool. Congrats. :cool:

Is it just me or have they smoothed out the pole pieces since my '01 'Ray? The way I remembered it, they were much sharper, to the point of being a bit annoying.

karatekid25, teal is a great color. I've always loved translucent 'rays. But, yes.... I love this buttercream.

Kenny, unfortunately I had to sell my '57RI to fund the Ray. But honestly, I don't think i'll regret it as much as selling my first Stingray.
