Wifey has cleared me for $1000. So it's either the used Palatino 3/4 upright my buddy took in at his music shop for $600 or maybe the new Gibson. I've got two Precisions now so I know it has to be something different. I like them new Hammersmiths but their just out of reach financially.
 
I refuse to loan the government money interest free. So I try my best to estimate taxes to be as close to a wash as possible.

My parents would have the maximum tax withheld during the year, just so they could get a large refund! I never understood the logic of giving Uncle Sam an interest-free loan, when you could be earning interest on it yourself.

Unfortunately, people use it as a "savings account" when they don't have the discipline to save up for something themselves.
