J-Bass Needs Serious Help

Got this fender J MIM and stuck with it until i get back on my feet financially. Any suggestions on pickups that will give it some life?
I play through an SVT-CL mainly rock/alternative.

I've been extremely happy with a set of DiMarzio Ultra Jazz p/u's in my franken-J. In a word... bold! No wants for a preamp or anything to help them and they also sound great right now with a fretless neck swapped in. Much bang for the buck from this set.

Tried several pickups and for the money Dimarzio Ultrajazz's can't be beat.

agreed...the fralins are nice for a stock vintage tone as well
