I have a 2001 Fender MIA Std Jazz bass. This bass has the stock passive fender pickups and I am looking to upgrade this rig. I want an all purpose pickup if thats possible, although it does not need to have a good metal sound.
Some people have mentioned Dimarzio Ultra Jazz as an option, any thoughts?
I know EMG makes a few sets, but it seems to me they are mostly active.
