Do you remember the signal chain for the bass on this tune? It came on when I was in my car this morning and I love the tone specifically in the chorus. Nice and fuzzy, but in a tight and smooth way. Kind of reminds me of my Prunes And Custard, but I think what I was liking could also be a combination of bass and fuzz electric guitars too...

Anyway, that whole record is great. I was pretty busy with other matters and distracted from new music when it was released, but I've been into it lately.

Thank you gents. Pol Roger is either my 1970 blue line SVT rig, or my Fender Bassman TV15, and I suspect the latter because we often went with that one. I know that it is Rick's custom red P-bass (the one with the black guard). Drive comes from two sources: slightly saturating the front end of the Tonecraft DI, as well as probably a simple one-pedal vibe in front of the amp, and I don't remember what it was. Also, the amp was a little naturally blown out, even without a pedal on.
