J-P-J wiring

Hi,

i'm thinking (actually did the wood cutting) about doing a J-P-J config on my Yamaha Attitude custom (so that it will be a 'real' custom).
I bought the same P pickups as the Attitude Ltd (Dimarzio Will Powers) and some Dimarzio J pickups with the highest output possible to match the will powers a bit.
I took out the original electronics and piezo wiring. So i have 2 double pots and a 3 way switch left.
My idea was to wire the P to a volume pot and then the switch, the J's to seperate pots for volume en a combined tone (bit like an original jazz bass) and then trough the switch. The bass has double outputs so i would like to use the switch to make it output stereo (1 output for J, one for P), mono (all pickups to (both) outputs)) and mute.

Does this sound logic and is it possible? Do i need any extra hardware or will the original pots and switch do (pots used to control volume (3x) and tone (1x) and switch between piezo-P-piezo/P)??

It can be done, no problem. Here's a layout I propose:

DiMarzio J neck - volume (stack 1, part 1) - jazz tone (combined) - output 2
Will-Power P - volume (stack 2, part 1) - precision tone (stack 2, part 2) - output 1
DiMarzio J bridge - volume (stack 1, part 2) - jazz tone (combined) - output 2

So the Will-Power has its own Vol and Tone and output, the J pickups each have their own Vol, a common Tone and output.
The P Vol and Tone should be on the same stacked pot. The J Vols should be on the same stacked pot. The J Tone should be its own single pot.
The final layout would be (P Vol | P Tone) (J-neck Vol | J-bridge Vol) (J Tone) (output jack 1) (output jack 2)

The outputs should be breaking jacks - those are jacks that have a normally-closed contact. Once you insert a cable the contact opens. These are used in the following way: connect the tip of jack 1 to the break contact of jack 2, and vice-versa. When you plug in one cable, you get mono and your tone controls interact. When you plug in two cables, you get stereo (P on channel 1, JJ on channel 2) and your tone controls don't interact. That way the switch isn't necessary.

I'll draw a schematic in a few hours when I get home.
