Most of the old school players put foam in the bridge to dampen the tone and that will solve the problem immediately.

Most of the old school players put foam in the bridge to dampen the tone and that will solve the problem immediately.
DR Legend will be perfect. That said, the Jackbass isn't your standard old-school bass to begin with.
