Hey y'all, i'm kinda just finding out about this bass. Just wondering how common are the white versions? I found one white for sale used right now but everything else is black or gold. Really dig the white, looking to trade my white T-bird toward one of these. Thanks, maybe i'll join the club one day!
Black and Gold are the standard colors . Anything else is a Limit Edition .

I bought a used white JCB online as a backup, and absolutely fell in love with it! Great bass...killer looks too!

White or Blue are where its at. Gotta keep an eye out for them used i guess
...uh, anyone want to part with their white or blue one? lol
I have a white one, and found a blue one in a small guitar shop in Italy, and bought it.
It's ok...but too dark of a blue (almost purple?), so I sold it and am happy with the white.
Now if they make a JCB in Pelham Blue...

If you really like the white one, jump on it. If you see a silver burst, jump on it.

I'd love to jump on that white one! I'd even drive the 2.5 hrs each way for it at $500. I contacted him to see if he'd take a trade of the T-bird plus cash (which he wont) and the next day he marked it pending sale... then i realized how hard the white ones are to find, even more so at that price.
maybe i'll just save my bones and bide my time and tackle the next blue one that comes along ;)

...uh, anyone interested in a white Thunderbird IV classic? hehe.

FYI...the blue ones are nearly impossible to find.
The TBird classic is a great bass! (I have a TBird Vintage Pro in suburst coming today)

I know, i love the birds. Had always wanted one. My right wrist position doesn't agree with the body cut though and after a while i decided i just cant keep the relationship going. damn it looks good, but so would a JC.

When you find one at a decent price... buy it!!

I gassed for a white JC for a long time. Being a special edition color there weren't a ton of them made. Several times I'd see one for sale online but hesitate pulling the trigger. Within a day or two they were always gone. I finally found one on Reverb just hours after it was posted. Bought it immediately.

Everything I'd heard about them in reviews is true. In 50+ years of playing it's my favorite bass in terms of looks, playability and sound.

I recommend adding a black Hipshot bridge and Ultralite tuners. They really finish off the look and are a great functional improvement. :)

Excellent, I was looking at them for awhile, OK, a long while, then a Gibson Explorer came up, 2012, and bought that. I can't believe it but it's the best playing and best sounding Gibson that I have ever played! I thought that I finally lost my senses but three other excellent bassist also could not believe it. And yes I have owned several Gibson's before.
