I did it myself. It did involve inserting a piece of wood up into the horn. Somewhere here I outlined the steps, and recently, someone else did it with step by step pictured as well. Moving it is worth it IMO.
All you need is one of these:

Then follow these steps:

I did it to each of my Casady basses in about 10 min. The epoxy was less than $5, so I used an entire tube for each bass.

Been thinking about relocating the stap button to the horn to try to decrease the "belly roll" when picking, so i went back through the thread - does this epoxy trick really work for the long haul? seems it would be easier than shaping a wood block and fishing it in there.
Hmm, can you show me a pic? Not sure whatcha meanyou could try running the strap from the endpin across the rear 3/4 of the JCB. Works on my T’Birds and totally reversible if you don’t like it.
