Can’t hardly find a silver burst anymore!

I had the 20th Anniversary red one and a black one, but had to sell one to fund other gear.... as pretty as the 20th was, the the BlackJack just played and sounded better, and is still with me .

The look of the white one is really growing on me... if I was in the position to get another, it would be white.

I know I’ve posted this elsewhere but it bears repeating: if I hit a lotto I’ll add a red (20th anniv) and a white to my current Chicago Blue Royale. There’d be rounds on one, flats on one and tapes on one ... until I change my mind. I’d love the full set so if it’s a big enough lotto I’ll be haunting the web for one of every color.

Been thinking about relocating the stap button to the horn to try to decrease the "belly roll" when picking, so i went back through the thread - does this epoxy trick really work for the long haul? seems it would be easier than shaping a wood block and fishing it in there.

I did it myself. It did involve inserting a piece of wood up into the horn. Somewhere here I outlined the steps, and recently, someone else did it with step by step pictured as well. Moving it is worth it IMO.

All you need is one of these:

Then follow these steps:
Strap Button on ES Guitars

I did it to each of my Casady basses in about 10 min. The epoxy was less than $5, so I used an entire tube for each bass.

Thanks so much it worked like a charm - like a new bass now!

you could try running the strap from the endpin across the rear 3/4 of the JCB. Works on my T’Birds and totally reversible if you don’t like it.

And hide part of your Jack Casady? Blasphemy!

IMO, the best JCB is a naked JCB. And if you gotta use a pickguard, a multi-lam with white and black edges would be best.
