Jackson Concert Bass

Jackson owners are few and far between around here. amimbari is one of the more knowledgeable Jackson/Charvel owners on TB so I'm sure he'll be by eventually to offer a word or two. There is a Jackson "club" somewhere around here, filled with owners of various Jacksons, let me see if I can find it for you.

Hey Guys,

I was looking at the Jackson CMG Concert bass, does anyone have this bass and what do you think?

Thanks as always.

I own a older jackson concert bass, nice solid tone and a fast neck.
I haven't played any of the newer concert basses so I can't comment on them.
I suggest looking for one on ebay, since they are cheap cause most people dislike the pointy headstock

I have one. I love it. Spectacular neck, great finish, great low end. Tuners are good. I think i sounds almost t-bird ish. that might just be me. Get one, if only for the neck and fretwork
lol, ya Jackson even made a TBIRD that sounds nothing like a Gibson, it sounds like a JACKSON :):)

there's a few others with these still floating around besides me.....

as far as a CMG, I like the trans-green ones, and if the price is right someday I will have one to add to the ever-growing Charvel/Jackson collection.

this is my green cmg. It's my first bass... gonna be a while till i can justify buying a new one... but I love the binding on that Bird you have... i'm starting to think i might want one... but that's just frivolous... the CMG is quite nice. I play rock & roll on it, and it fits surprisingly well in the mix, and with the aesthetic. The green is... not too loud a colour. It's pointy and evil, but not "look at me, I'm the devil." The Bird has that too i think. A bit of class. Cheers

well Erik, it looks black not green and you made the FATAL Jackson picture posting error:
you MUST show the whole thing...headstock included :spit:

I love my Bird, but it is a collectors item any more and is retired. It served it's purpose for many years and only gets pulled out for occasional recording sessions....
I have a bunch of 80's Charvel "ModelSeries 1 thru 4" to beat up on daily :)
