Jackson JS3V Bridge Upgrade

I'd like to upgrade the bridge on my Jackson JS3V. I've been looking into a few different bridges but I can't decide on one. I've considered Schaller, Babicz, and KSM Foundation bridges to name a few. I've read really great things about hipshot bridges, but I'd rather go with something not so popular. Give me some suggestions of any bridges that might be a nice upgrade and some pros and cons of each.

Whats wrong with the stock bridge?

Normally I'd be asking if that is really an upgrade, but that stock bridge looks really cheap.

And hipshots are popular because they are good

Any of you guys ever use Badass bridges? How are they? I'm thinking anything will be better than my stock "cheap-o-matic" bridge. Or at least better looking.

Check out the KSM Foundation bridges features. I use one myself and love it

I have to agree on darkstorms post, there is no gain with another bridge except for looks, but if your gonna spend 160-200 for just the bridge so it looks better, hey....it's your bass.

I have never had a jackson bridge using the square saddles have rattly saddles, or come out of adjustment all by itself.

but like buttrock21 said, the KSM is a great upgrade, the screw holes will NOT line up, which may pose an issue once you set the bridge in it's proper intonation spot that a hole may be exposed. I never tried one to know if that is the truth or not.

back in the 90's when Jackson was making japan units, they used either a Kahler or Schaller.

The new square saddle bridges on the JS3 is an nice upgrade from what came on the CMG basses that cost twice as much and which the JS and Ellifson basses replace. Again no reason to upgrade it., Its allready better then regular gotoh bridge and imo equal to hipshot minus fast top load ability.

oh yes, if he had a CMG bridge on it --although I never had mine rattle, it is a POS compared to the square saddle version. Look ar how the string thru has to rub up against the intonation spring in it

.if I had an extra HMB, I would have changed it out. WHAT were they thinking? OF course since the CMG was not made in the 80's or 90's by then the stock of the old bridge was gone...
