Love fine basses, but i couldnt resist ordering the JS3 right away. It is a Really cool bass for the price. Think i got it for 319 at gearhounds including a discount..
It does Not compare to a higher-end production bass. I love Gibsons-Been LOVING the new 2012 V-Bass, Moonstone and such and usually prefer neck-thru but i picked up a USA custom shop Jackson King V and Love it. (Still doesnt compare to a Moonstone, but GREAT bass!). If you're looking for an inexpensive awesome bass-the JS3 blows away any epiphone nonsense in every way. It does have bigtime neckdive, but i suspect moving the strap would take care of that. The fretboard is awesome, though the frets are kinda big and certainly not as nicely done as the USA model. But again-for the price it cant be beat.
