Jaco pastorius bass noise

We all know that Jaco used two 360's in a dry/wet setup with either one or two MXR Digital Delay Model 113's ( maximum delay time on this model with all four memory cards is 1024 ms) going into one of the 360 pre's. He would use one or both of the 360 Fuzz's with each having different settings. In almost all of the videos I've seen, his 360's are combined into mono, but this video is in stereo so that you can hear the two amps separately.

Something I'm wondering -- does anybody know how Jaco gets the crazy feedback on the live version of 'Badia' off of 8:30?? (Will post link when I'm back on my laptop) Is it just normal guitar-amp interaction? Have always loved the sound it produces, but am scared to turn my amps loud enough to see if I can reproduce it

Jaco cranks the gain on his amp, I would imagine he is just getting close to his rig and letting it ring.
