Jaco Tribute Bass Build

Congrats. Looking forward to your bass arriving.

Also, I am banning you or family (over the next 15 generations) from ever selling this bass. Not even if you are starving. Not even to raise the last dollar to cure cancer... ok maybe for cancer... but you have to starve. :D

If I sell this bass, you and all of the TB community can beat me to a bloody pulp.

Just a quick update. Kevin finished my bass... kind of. He ran out of time and flies to Japan tomorrow to do sound for a tour. The bass is playable, but the neck pocket needs to be shaved to get rid of the corner gaps. I guess he has to dowel the neck and re-drill the mounting holes. I asked if Holly could do it, but I guess Kevin insisted that he be the only guy on the job. According to his office manager, Chris, Kevin has been the only one working on this bass. Kevin returns on the 10th of June, so I told Chris to keep it at the shop and let Kevin finish it upon his return. I think the horrible part of the job is done, so this should be an easy fix... I hope.

On a good note, I will head up to the shop next week to take pics. It will be nice to have some new pics on this thread.

It's smooth sailing now, bro! It must feel great to know the major job is done. Looking forward to the pics :)
