Jaco Tribute Bass Build

Wow, the end is finally in sight!
Does it feel like you're finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel bassgod?
Can't wait to see some pictures, if the whole thing together looks as good as the body did then I don't think there's gonna be many better looking basses around!

I will post pics tomorrow. I may even take it home tonight and bring it back on the 10th. However, I'm not sure if this would cause a delay in Kevin finishing.
I took my Ibanez to Kevin yesterday. I was excited to get rid of her. However, that paled in comparison to my first viewing of my Jaco. Chris and Holly were there to see my face. It was like Christmas morning. She's absolute mojo personified.
Resting in her case.
The fingerboard feels like silk, but broken-in.
Even the back is a pure delight to the eye.
The last part to be done is the neck pocket. Kevin has to re-seat the neck into the pocket for a tighter fit. I have to return the bass next week, but the long waiting "should" be over.
The cherry on top... Kevin's signature.
She plays and sounds like Jazz, but with a mellow tone. The feel is outstanding, and the pickups allow me a vintage thump or a zingy top end. I'm pretty happy with how she turned out.

Stratosphere: Thank god for their parts. Gotta love a Fender chop shop on Ebay.
Dan Atkinson: His paint and relicing skills really tied the whole bass together. His ability to relic gave the bass a stunning look.
Kevin Kaufman: Although I had to wait forever, I'm happy I did. His attention to detail made the wait, worthwhile. The bass plays like a dream, and that fingerboard is something else.
Lastly, but most importantly...

This looks so much better then the fender version , seriously the fender version looks wet sanded all the wear looks level with the wood, just not real looking at all. The custom shop should hire Dan and Darkhorse
