Man I just realized that this is a MIM neck when Mr pc quoted you. It's not necessarily bad, but it's a bit odd.
What's a bit odd?

I'm not sure if these are the same. I bought a "Vintage Jazz Bass" wiring kit. If it's not period correct, then I will suck it up.
That parody is great. When he's clapping his hands, I'm pissing my pants.
So...that is really Jaco, right? Is he parodying himself??
Even then this is supposed to be a tribute....not a replica..
In two weeks, I will be ordering my electronics and pickups. Antiquity II, here we come!

I know you're trying to get someone specific to do something specific, but this is ridiculous.

I would have to agree. I know Kevin does incredible work, and he's a busy guy. But 6 months?? If he is that backed up, he should be forthcoming with customers up front. Bassgod has way more patience than me!
Care to explain why?
I understand customer service, prompt turnaround, etc. For some people, instant gratification is the name of the game. However, my request is special and only one man on this planet can do it. Jaco had one main guy, and he is the only luthier for this project, IMO. I really have no choice. I'm so happy with his work that I don't mind waiting. Besides, I have 4 other basses to use, so its not a problem. Also, Kevin doesn't really do guitar repair/modification work anymore. It doesn't make the money that sound amplification does. He does it when he can so I hope he gets it done before he goes out on tour, in June. We'll see.
