Jad Freer CAPO with guitar?

Perhaps an odd question but I love the sound of the CAPO for bass, but I also play guitar. I also dont want two preamps, one for each instrument, the CAPO is also spendy and would take the rest of the real estate on my tiny board.

Has anyone who has a CAPO tried running a guitar through it? Does it being a "bass preamp" pose any problems when running a guitar through it?

I can't speak for the capo specifically, but I use plenty of bass preamps for guitar and I'm really happy with the results (e.g., couple Sushi Box flavors, SVT3 Pro). Depending on the tonestack you will need to EQ them a bit differently, and a HPF can really make a huge difference if it's a darker preamp (e.g., the 90Hz toggle on the sushi stuff is perfect for swapping from bass to guitar).

IMHO, it's most important what you run downstream; you'll most likely need some kind of LPF or cab sim after the preamp if you're going direct.
