I second that.

@AlexMG You cannot perceive the special "heft" of Sisma (or any other amp) with a Youtube demo, even with good headphones. It's something you have to experience loud and in context.

Now of course, if ending you GAS make you life more confortable it's ok for me, I don't want to be responsible for unwanted GAS :roflmao:. As @Jeff Scott says, nobody needs to buy Sisma, in fact a lot of people including bassists are perfectly happy without knowing about it.

I actually did inquire but there’s apparently no more availability to loan it to me. It’s apparently on its way to an artist for a tour. There may be someone in the area they can connect me with to visit and try it out.

One more thing I saw some of the suggestions to you to still try it.

I never use or understand terms others use but I had someone tell me the thing I commented on as being a bass boost in this amp. Is it n fact what other folks call “heft.” So based on that correction, yes this amp has the desirous “heft”. I didn't call it that because I myself wasn't familiar with the meaning of that, I know huh?

So anyway, this proves you need to try it for yourself as even the online audio tracks don't display the “heft.” It is something that needs to be experienced in person, like the damping control on the Mesa WD 800.

Where are you located AlexMG? I have Sisma, WD800 and 800+ here and your welcome to come try if your close enough. I'm in NJ.

Yes!

Now that I have the two here, my WD and the Sisma. I find them both high-quality amps. Yet it would be hard to pick one over the other. Each has a similarity to each other but they have their own take on the Braxendell/B-15 format. I will have to give up the Sisma tester and live on with my WD but if I could, I’d keep the Sisma as well :)

But since I can't, I guess I’ll just “suffer” along with the Mesa WD 800 alone, in my private little world :(

I'm not familiar with these 2 amps but for me Sisma is definitely on the quicker side (but with a lot of weight to the notes).

Like a slap in the face and a punch in the gut at the same time. :laugh: This is ridiculous. A lot of "Punch" and "Slam", but with "Heft" and "Authority" at the same time. Ok I quit :roflmao:. Can somebody help?

I really wonder what others who have tried Sisma think about it?

I agree. It’s dark and big sounding, but tight and quick too.
