Jaded guy impressed

If it had "jaded guy impressed with Fender American Professional Jazz", yes I would have opened it, but then closed it if there were only stock photos :smug:

They are decidedly stock photos:

Well, this raises some interesting questions. Did the OP truly obtain the aforementioned instrument? Did the OP even try one out? Is the OP still jaded? Find out tomorrow on Unsolved Mysteries.

Yay!!!

Maybe the "Pics or it didn't happen" slogan should be changed to "Pics other than stock photos or it didn't happen". Whaddya think? :D:D

"That's my bass you troll"

The main thing is that you need to post stock photos and claim them as your own. Then when someone suggests they might be stock photos? Quickly insult that person. That's the way to get folks to give a hang about your awesome new bass acquisition.

Soon we'll have to take photos of the basses with us in the photo & that day's Wall St. Journal in hand.

LOL - everybody in America has the same floor!
The pics are from Music Store Live. They apparently take photos of the actual instruments like some other online sellers do. I wouldn’t call these stock.

Thank you so much for trying as hard as you can to rain on this guy’s thread. I see that a lot and never understand how you can possibly have so much time on your hands.
This.

What an assortment of complete Richards in this thread.
I earned that. I got no dog in any fight but still chimed in to call BS on something that had nothing to do with me. Except that this is a PUBLIC forum. Everyone goes outta their way to correct everyone else on anything they care to assert. I'm subject to it. You're subject to it. OP is also subject to it.

Except that the bass is, in fact, his. The photos of that particular instrument just happen to have been taken by Music Store Live. Sweetwater and AMS do the same.

Guy buys a bass he loves. Posts here; sings praises. Request for pics. Guy posts seller’s pics. Not good enough. Less than kind posts calling OP’s truthfulness into question. OP disappears.

KBD’s playful pics-or-it-didn’t-happen kind of request and his asking for pics of the bass in OP’s home that initiated this is one thing, but the stock-photo taunts that followed... .

Funny, I can't wait to post my own shots of my basses! I'm just looking for the opportunity... :roflmao:

It is a public forum, but something simply being public doesn't mean it has to turn into turd-slinging.
It's not like the OP claimed to have the Bass of Doom or Jamerson's P. He has a cool new bass, probably from a seller who sells the exact bass in the pics, which would, in fact, make the snark inaccurate as well as exposing the critics' shallow moment.
As far as being a tool, I've done it online and face to face and regretted it almost immediately because I was taught better.
Not meant as a personal thing toward Petey or anyone else, because I've been the exact same turd - virtually and really. But it does derail what should be a legit celebration somewhat.
