James Tyler basses are coming back

Wayne Krantz thought the headstock was excessive and grabbed the gaffer tape.

😳Damn, that's one ugly headstock. Total deal breaker for me. I don't care how nicely built/ good playing the instrument is. I would rather gouge out my eyes then have to look at it again. Sheesh. 🤦 Maybe the company is trying to take a monetary loss to get a tax write off? This is the only thing my feeble mind can grasp as to why someone would do such a thing.

Here in Nashville, Corner Music sold them . . . . off a waiting list, and the ones that found homes (usually in studios) NEVER come up for resale, so that tells me a lot.
As a youngster entering the recording scene in LA, an older player took me to Jim's shop and introduced me. This was when he had just developed the prototype of his multi-knob custom Demeter onboard pre. It was mounted on a flat piece of cardboard when he ran through what it does with me. Lastly, he showed me the gain knob and said he designed it to offer extreme output for engineers asking for a ton of output from a bass. Jim was doing anything it took to take care of his clientele.
