Gallien Krueger for the last 12 years!
The rumours were apparently true about The Fyffer bolting. Here's a fan's review of last night's gig with Alex:

"Nick Fyffe has left the group, he was replaced by ALEX, which played even better than Nick. They started with Canned Heat and ended with Deeper Underground, and inbetween they played Alright , Cosmic Girl , Travelling without moving , Mr. Moon , Butterfly , High Times , Love Foolosophy and Little L , that's all I can remember. It was a great night!"

I saw Nick Fyffe live at their Lisbon, Portugal show - brilliant. Though I have to say that, to me, Mr. Stuart Zender shall remain one of the most incredible bass players of recent times (in the genre I prefer). I was sorry he was driven out of Jamiroquai.
Then again, Jay Kay IS Jamiroquai, and a guy that endured such a lot of hardship when he was younger, will let nothing stand in his way to success.
It's still my favorite band. And David, thanks for the sound clip - it's GREAT! Can't wait for their (his?) next album!

Help me out, here - who is "Alex"?

I'm a HUGE Zender fan, but I never really got into Fyffe's playing. He just didn't do it for me the way Zender did (who does?). Sure, I may be biased and each player has his/her ow style, but I just liked what Zender contributed more.
