Japanese Bassists

You might like Junko from Uchikubi Gokumon Doukoukai. Solid playing with no more flash than necessary.

Their name translates to something like "Heads on Pikes Association" and they make the best videos. One of the striking things about Japanese metal bands is even the ones that are mostly doing it to take the piss are still dead serious about their musicianship.

I love Hojin Egawa. Sadly he was in a bad car crash in December 2018 and was still unconscious the last time I checked. I have not heard anything since early this year.
