Jazz Bass Electronics Question

Is there any possible way to make a Jazz Bass with stock electronics to work with both pickups in series when both volumes are full and still be able to solo pickups when one volume is turned down ?

I was trying to do this today but the only thing i done was to put the pickups out of phase .

I know this can be done with a switch but i want to know if i can be done with stock electronics so dont answer "USE A SWITCH" please

i beleive that its not necesary to have linear pots and 500k value pots right ?

Linear sure as hell works better, but it isn't a requirement.
You can use audio if you want to, but personally, I would strongly suggest the linear tapers.

You can also use 250K pots if you want.
250K pots are traditional of Jazz basses.

What would be the difference against audio taper if i use linear tapers on my volume pots ?

Audio taper pots usually give you a big drop in volume rolling down from 10 to around 8-ish.
Linear tapers give a nice smooth sweep from 10 to 0 without any big volume drops.

With linear tapers, the amount of change as you move from left to right or right to left follows a linear pattern and is constant. With audio tapers, the rate of change is fixed (it follows a logarithmic pattern). Thus the amount of change relative to the current position changes.

Do you think that it would be a problem if i dont move my cap from the ground lug and just run the wire to the output jack has shown ?
