Jazz bass pickup recommendation

I have a 2001 MIM Jazz bass that still has the stock pups in it. I'm primarily a guitar player, but I'd still like to put a nice set of Alnico pups into this bass. Vintage voiced is preferred. Can someone recommend some good, cheap pups to put in her?

How are those pups from Fender's Classic 60's series? Lots of hum?

If you want vintage-voiced and inexpensive, and you dislike single coil hum, you want the DiMarzio Area J. I've been very happy with a set in my G&L JB.
