Jazz Bass V/B/T pots and wiring...please help!

Hi All,

I'm looking at getting some Wilde J45 pickups and am thinking of wiring it V/B/T.
I've been trying to find exactly what rating pots (and whether audio or linear).
Also exactly what kind of blend pot should I get.

The best wiring diagram I have been able to find is the one below. I'm OK with a soldering iron but have no idea about the inner workings of electronics so I'd like to get the pots and cap that will allow me to copy this exactly as per the diagram.

I have a P46/J45 set wired VBT. I used a 250K M/N blend pot (ungrounded wiring as covered by WalterW on this message board) and a 500K audio taper tone control with .047uF cap. The 500K tone pot gives a touch more range of tone, a little more zip up top. For 250K tone pot tone, just turn it down to 7.
I prefer linear taper volumes on bass, because they give finer adjustment on cleaner signals. For J pickups, a 250K volume is great. I used 500K, but I also have a P46, which isn't as bright as the J45.

Hi there. Im considering somewhat the same thing. I just acquired a 2018 VM Squire Jazz and am going to switch out the pups. They don't sound bad but I am reading Nordstrands or Lindy Fralins will give a higher output and more robust tone. I would appreciate any thoughts.
Also, all the pots are Audio taper so I will be changing the volumes to linear. Any thoughts on 250 or 500 ohms?

For a J bass pickup set wired VVT, I would do 250K linear volumes and a 500K audio tone.
VBT would still be a 250K linear volume, 250K M/N blend and 500K audio tone.
