Jazz

Hi, I recently discovered a huge resource in my school's music library. I am trying to listen to as much jazz as possible, and was wondering who to check out. I know the most obvious(and probably already own them) but was curious about some TBer's more obscure favorites. I am especially into avant garde and third stream type stuff(big Dolphy fan), feel free to suggest some classical artists as well.

Hill's Point Of Departure is a "companion disc" to Dolphy's Out To Lunch.

Charles Ives..."The Gong On The Hook & Ladder" sounds like '60s Free Jazz (Ives' piece was composed in 1911).

Andrew Hill is an excellent suggestion. His Blue Note recordings are uniformly excellent. I might also recommend:
