JBL Pro Powered Monitors

Wanted to upgrade my recording capability. The weak link was the cheap computer speakers. I listened to several different powered monitors and decided on the JBL Series3 (LSR 305). You could make do with one but I went ahead and got two of them. I wanted to record trumpet and trombone and really don't like playing those instruments wearing headphones. As these monitors are 80 amps each, there is plenty of volume to ensure I can hear what I'm playing against.

I have a significant HF hearing loss and thought I might not be able to tell much difference in the sound. Boy was I wrong--the difference is incredible. I'm hearing things I didn't hear on the headphones either.

I still use the computer speakers but switch to the monitors when I'm recording or really want to hear some music. These things are incredible and well worth the investment.
