JBL SR4715A vs yorkville LS808

maybe a little more info will help..LOL

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have the opportunity to trade a pair of Yorkville LS 808 Subs for JBL SR4715A. We dont use subs all the time all depends on the venue. We mainly use them when we are playing outdoor festivals that dont provide sound. My tops are 4 JBL MRX 515. Would the JBL subs be a better match, would they provide more punch being 2 15's vs 1 18?

any thoughts??

haven't heard those JBLs, but the yorkie 808 is no joke! what are you pushing them with, i'm surprised you're even thinking about trading them away.

Well I did the deal. I am using an Inuke 6000 , which has been performing very well so far as my sub only amp. The Yorkies always performed well, I can't and will not complain about them. they always rocked! I was just looking for more punch and a tighter sound. The JBLs deliver just that, and they are a little easier to handle. So far I am very happy that I did the deal...I will let you know at the end of our festival season if I still feel the same way. :)
