It depends if what I say is regarded as vague as I intended it. I looked into this before I wrote it. I didn't violate a direct rule because nobody knows what I said exactly. Let's see if the people who use the rules as an overview will funtion according to their own standards over here.
I think you may be 'right,' but it doesn't matter. This site is a private enterprise, and the owners can run it anyway they please.

Jeff, just don't go the route of Ken Smith and get perma banned........

You have alot of useful info that EVERYONE could benefit from, whether they like it or not.

It depends on how some will regard my ambiguous comment. I did this on purpose so that nobody could honestly say that I broke any rules. I implied things, I suggested thoughts. But, these are not a violator of principles. Plus, there are a few guys who don't fall into the category that I suggested. A couple of the mod******* are terrific guys.

We'll see! I don't really care, but I had my say and I never spelled out anything in direct terms. Everything is implied, and people could or could not read me correctly or incorrectly. This place allows passive-agressive comments, so I am curious to find out how my comments will be taken. Or, will they just forget about it and let's talk about music. Drum role Please.

Not really sure what to think of this JB. Are you just trying to see how much weight you can throw around because you're rich & famous? Or were your feelings genuinely hurt by the temp block?

If it's the latter, I don't think lashing out (even if it's only inferred in a passive-aggressive manor) would be considered taking the high road.

Just the opinion of a lowly weekend warrior.

True. There are rules here which you, admitedly, did not read. Your (and evyone's) continued use of the site hinges upon adherence to the terms of service.

I find that these forums are generally well-moderated. I'm sorry you don't see it that way.

Yo, Jeff.
Great "seeing" you here again.
I still think about our friend David a lot - hard to believe that he's gone, and that I'll never hear him play or get to play with him again. I REALLY appreciate what you guys did to honor him with the service at the school. It was a deserving, and very fitting, tribute to an amazing musician and a great guy.

Philip B.

JEFF- Sorry, but I am done commenting about this. I am not about to make a war. I said my piece, and I am done! What will come will come.

JEFF- This was not my finest hour, I agree! But, I've had way way more fine moments than this one.

Hey Jeff,

I might be moving to Tampa this summer. If so, I will have to give up playing in the the Ann Arbor area bands I play in. I am not sure if I want to jump right in to looking for a band to play in when I move but I want to stay active. One option would some constructive lessons. What kind of courses/lessons could I take at your school on a part-time basis? I would probably be able to get away an evening a week and then afternoons on the weekends.

Have you thought about a message board hosted at the Player's School?

I do not mean this in a 'go away and get your own board' way, I genuinely think it would be a good resource that would allow you to interact with people in a way you feel comfortable.

To tell you the truth, I am comfortable here. I just had to vent a little bit. As I mentioned above, this wasn't my finest hour, but it did put a little smile on my face, and frankly, it kind of made me laugh. I'm not angry. But I was! If the powers that be allow me to stay after I just put my foot into my mouth, then let's hang. If not, then so be it! Still, thanks for your comments!

Im glad im not the only one.. hahaha
... Hope i dont get banned for saying what i just did.. oh well Forums loss.:D
Welcome back

Howdy to All. If you didn’t know it, I was banned from Talkbass until today. I am not sure why, so I went back to read my past comments that I wrote after Fergie Fulton (finally) went away. Unless I was missing something, I was pretty much within the boundaries that this website lays out as its rules. At least I thought so because I never actually read them!

I know that the moderators don’t like to be talked about publicly, and so I won’t write anything that can be attributed to a clear and direct comment from me about them, though, I will address my thoughts in non-specifics! This site does permit passive aggressive comments, and I want to obey the rules here! If I don’t write anything directly violating the rules of the website, then everything is OK, right? So if I tell you to use your ba** well, I hope that you all will use your BAIT well because you can’t catch fish otherwise. Get the point? See what I am doing? OK. Now read on!

The mod******* who bloc*** me can go f*** him****! I went over all my comments before I was blo**** from these pages, because I was curious what I might have done to get blo**** in the first place. I couldn’t find a thing!

After I was blo**** from these pages, a few other guys commented about the unfair manner that they also were trea*** by some mod******* over here. Some of these mod******* already have a rep with some talk**** members for being jer**s. If the rul** are for everyone, there are still an awful lot of people here who get away with mur***. Their comments enter into the realm of rude and disruptive and the mod******* do nothing about it. Why? Because they agree with what is being said! Some of the mo******* would be surprised to know that a lot of people on talk** think the same thing about them as I do. So, again, to some of the m********* on these pages, for your blatant b***s*** preferential treatment of some talk**** memb*** over others, you can s*** m* d***

Now, back to the music!

Well said Jeff! I've always found your intellect to be far greater than your playing! (compliment) This just may be the cause of the brilliance of your playing. I'm not talking chops. I've always enjoyed the "lyrical" structure of your playing. The chops coincide with the knowledge, which, I believe you absorb at a higher and faster rate than most...

Having said that... some of the mo******** are quite full of the*se***s. More time spent on the instrument can be constructive for the le** ta***ted. Know one knows that better than you!

Having said that... play on, do check in for those that truly respect each other and ignore the p**ty/self-righteous...
Take care,
Rich
