Odd thing is there was a report yesterday that he had died and his rep said no he's alive and well. Rachael Steel on Sirius Classic Vinyl kinda went off saying people need to verify this crap before they report it. Then today it's reported that he has died.

A good friend of mine told me a great story. He was playing with Mitch Ryder at a festival and Jerry Lee was also on the same day. When Mitch finished his set Jerry Lee sent a guy to tell him he wanted to speak to Mitch and the band. They went to his trailer and Jerry Lee told him your playin CC Rider all wrong it goes like this and then dismissed them. LOL

I saw Jerry Lee during the early nineties along with Fats Domino, both great. Jerry had no band, he played all solo piano and sang. This was in a civic center.

I was amazed, with his lifestyle, drinking, and medical problems, that he made it this far.

Weird...there were articles on Wednesday saying he was not dead and that the obituaries were false. Then he dies anyway two days later.
