I got one of his EUB's. I'll PM you his e-mail address. It's a decent instrument -- I had some setup issues on mine, and there are some fundamental tradeoffs that come with his 1-piece design, where the bridge basically rests on the fingerboard (very shallow break angle, etc.) But that's why he can sell them for 1/3 the cost of an Azola or similar. For the price, there's just no other option -- and I find the sound is quite good.
I couldn't bring myself to spend $2k on an instrument that sounds like an EUB. I'd rather invest 1/3 of that in Jesse's instrument, which I can use in situations where a real UB won't work (loud Latin/blues, dodgy bars, airline travel, etc.) and then use the rest of the dough saving up for evermore expensive "real" basses.
