Here he is on a "legit" show. He was also on Dinah Shore's show and she asked about his career. He said he was busier than a one armed bass player.

Hughart was a switch hitter and his electric was an early model Fender split-coil P! Not usually associated with jazz and a great example of what it can do in the right hands. Check him out on a trio date with Joe Pass called "Resonance" and "Live at Donte's".
