Double Bass Jim Stinnett gone

I met Jim when we were students at NTSU,summer of 78. Became great friends and shared a lot of information and good times about creative music, life, and fun. He was always a step ahead, in anything he wanted to tackle at any given time. Coming from the west coast he turned us on, to all the new gear that was starting to come on the scene, such as WW amps and the Underwood Pick-Up. In those days he even built his own Speaker Cabs. I used one for several years!
Always willing to help and encourage, his spirit and zest for life, was always inspirational. And he was an exceptional player!!
Talking about NHOP, Ray Brown,PC, Mexican food, or working out, Jim was a great guy to be around!! And a true freind ! He left us too soon...

RIP Jim
