I got an voicemail and email from a USDA lab in Massachusetts requesting a phone interview for one of the positions that I applied for several months ago.
If all goes well, I'll be moving back to Massachusetts soon!

Edit: I got a call for another USDA position in White River Junction, Vermont. They are looking to interview me in a few weeks.

My interview lasted an hour and went very well. I will know if i'm hired on Monday. It sounds like its a good lab to work in. I was given a link to the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute's visiting researcher's housing assistance webpage. I'll spend the weekend searching for housing.

Your interview was with the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute? I love that place. I spend a lot of time down in Falmouth and Woods Hole. In fact I'll be in Falmouth next week! What I'm not sure of is why will you be in buzzards bay? Do they have a lab there as well?
The Laboratory at Buzzards Bay is USDA-APHIS, but the researcher in charge of the lab at USDA gave me a link to the Woods Hole housing locator website. USDA and Wood Hole visiting researchers use the same resource to find housing in the area.
