I saw that. the pickups remind me (and are problably the same) of the single coil pickups from the Big Al.
no tone control (like no jazz bass ever). interesting, to say the least. I'm not in the market for a new bass, but would be interested in trying this out. Polarizing for many, no doubt (I like unique stuff).

I don’t know, but it looks like they busted out the caprice body shape
Don't know who this guy is and the bass looks pretty plain - reminds me of the guitars and basses the more ambitious kids would try to build in my high school woodshop class. Personally, I wouldn't buy one if it was $600.

Seems pretty lame not to countersink the control plate on a multi-thousand dollar bass. But the knobs are cool.
I don’t really care too much about the dart model , but the fact that they still have the caprice templates and the single coil pickups give me hope…..
That is some serious music major Funk. Funk is finding itself being maintained by music education the way Jazz has been for the last fifty or so years. It is good to see the fruits of that education.

This reminds me that a washtub, a broom handle and some wire can also make music....if you're so inclined. But who would want to today?
Their per-unit margins on these must be criminally high.
Not my thing. I do love the vol-vol configuration though. That's a fun idea.
Has MM done a dual-single coil bass before?
