Sorry, but I don't think you understand how proper decision-making processes are supposed to work,
That was predisposed by the OP, who is not open to negative comments.
When one is not open to contrary opinion, then what's the point in even asking for opinion?
Usually these are on a 4mth wait time but there was one two days ago available in the EBMM vault for immediate shipment, and I bought it 
on the contrary, I’m not looking for a Jazz bass. I like that it has similarities to a jazz bass, but with split coils it’s different.
With volume knobs that roll off the tone but keep bass volume level intact, THAT is unique! Output level isn’t an issue in my experience, I’ve got basses with sweet sweet tone with low output that just need a little boost.
It’s on its way and I’m excited for it, super unique offering imo and EBMM stuff has always been worth the $ in my experience.
I’m very excited for the weight and size, music man always makes the best of their basses size-wise and since 2018 they’ve seriously improved the weight too.
OP, I hope I’m not disappointed, as we all hope with a new bass, but I’ll do my best to present real world actual bass-in-hand thoughts and feelings (and maybe sounds if y’all are nice) when it arrives.

I think you’re taking it too seriously.
I think OP wanted to have a conversation about this bass that didn’t devolve into essentially what it has devolved into: a group-think of people without hands the bass providing opposition to it.
Certainly your opinion is still valid, I think OP is just saying they’ve done research and have heard plenty of the aforementioned opposing opinion from people without actual experience with this bass.
They’re politely asking any of the 100+ people who currently own or have owned this bass (and ONLY those people!!) to come forward and share insight into why they still have it or not, and why there aren’t 100+ listed up for sale on reverb with no buyers. Some people have to like this bass enough for resale volume to be very very low. Just sayin!
Heyo! To clarify, the JD Mini is limited to only 50 pieces. The JD II is a production model, mine was one of the initial 100 'launch editions' that had the numbered neck plate and special case. Similar to the launches of the JD I, there were numbered first runs and then the standard production model.
