John East Uni-pre

Love my J-retro, and have decided I'd like to get a
Uni- pre for one of my other basses.
Best Bass Gear carries them, but there's a 4- 8 week minimum.
Does anyone know who might have one for sale in the US?
I can't seem to find any other distributors.
About to order one from Spain, but would rather keep it in the US...

I had good luck ordering direct from John East recently. He had them in stock when BBG was out. It was also considerably cheaper. He shipped within a week, transit time was slowish with USPS once it reached the US, but it arrived and I totally love it.

It might have been 3 weeks-ish. Ivdon't think it was longer. This was also right after the USPS poopie show started. Not sure if it's any better now.

I would call them to check stock levels first. I almost ordered one from them last week but when I called to confirm it turned out that it was not in fact in stock as stated n their website. They just place an order through to John East the same as everyone else.

The difference being perhaps that John lives about 20 minutes away... But yes, a call is a good plan. It is also sometimes the case that stuff showing out of stock is actually in...

Just got my East Uni Pre from bestbassgear.com and had it installed into my custom Warmoth with a Moses Graphite neck. EMG Geezer P/J's (not the best pups, noisier than I'd hoped) but THE most musical preamp I've ever owned !!! It has so much going for it. Well worth the $325 bucks. That is a lot of dough, but boy do you see where your money went !!!
