Hey, just saw this video of John Entwistle playing an acoustic bass solo. Was just wondering if this picture is of the same bass as in the video? Does anyone who what brand it is? Has anyone here played it?

Sure looks like an Ovation in the pic to me.
For sure its an Ovation he's playing in the vid
I've never played one, but it looks nice.

Its selling for 120£ on ebay... Pretty sure its not an ovation based on that fact, though it has a striking resemblance.. I'm very tempted to buy, but I'm not sure how the bass is, quality, feel and play-wise...

You're right.. the headstock doesnt look like an Ovation, but the rest does.
Probably an Asian knock-off?

Head stock is all wrong. Ox was playing an Ovation, that's a knockoff. I saw those once before, I don't think they were making them when he was alive and I don't think he'd play a 120£ bass today if he were alive. Might be an OK bass. Link to ad would help to evaluate it.

Ovation imported a variation of the B768; I have one. It's called a CC274 I believe. MIK, the bass the op's viewing is probably a variation of mine. The Ovation is really nice for an ae bass, nicer than the other sub - $500 ae basses I've tried. Not too many of the Ovations around, though. Nice player or not, without being amplified there's little chance you will be heard. Enough sound to practice with, but not much more...
