John Pattitucci Advice

Anyone know what the deal is with the extended bridge saddle for the low B string?? Looks like a mod of some sort.

The extended B string bridge part is for increased room for intonation - depending on the B string type/construction, sometimes the B saddle can run out of room on smaller bridges. Yamaha did that on certain BB models stock for years.

Contrary to what some have thought, it does not increase the scale length.
