John Paul Jones-The Lemon Song

Same deal with me. I started learning this a handful of times, then just said screw it. Started playing in a zep tribute not that long ago and they really, REALLY want to do this song. That and the fact that I think it's a copout to do it "my way" are the only things that are pushing me to the finish line.

Almost reminds me of quitting smoking. I tried and tried and tried, and then one day it just happened. :) I should shut up until I'm finished though. Only half way there, and then I have to start getting the rest of the song note for note. Yeesh. Can't promise that though cuz I'm not too sure anyone really cares.

Ditto here. The few times I've tried learning it and I realized just how hard it is I stopped.

I've been asked to play this in a band so Im going to try it once more, but the truth is it's doubtful I'll ever get it note for note. It amazes me that note for note players can remember all that, but my brain doesn't work that way I've come to realize. In the end I'll probably remember 1/3 or so of it.

I somewhat rationalize it by telling myself it was improv anyway by JPJ
