John Paul jones tone anyone?

Rounds were made by 1968 ,I believe

IIRC, and that’s debatable LOL, I think 1967. I bought my Precision in January 1968. It arrived sans strings and I wanted to install the new Rotosounds. Short scale for 30” Gibson scale basses were available in Liverpool UK where I lived but no long scale. I had to take a trip to Manchester to get a set. I installed the strings and took the Precision to a rehearsal. When I got back I tried out the tunes on my Gibson EB2 and it felt like a plank. I never used it again.
