She's good, hot, backed by a supertight & authentic R&B/soul setup and playing for an extremely receptive crowd. I don't see how one could not *pull that off*

That basist is indeed Pete Iannacone as mentioned.
The drummer is Rick Jordan, he also plays for Taio Cruz and several other big names.
That "supertight & authentic R&B/soul setup" consist, Amongst others, out of Hollie Farris on Trumpet and Jeffrey Watkins on sax. These both gentleman have been playing for James Brown forever. They are all great people!
Sorry to butt in here people but I was googling for bass forums because I want to pick up playing and I can use some pointers. And when I came across these pages combined with the name Joss, I was triggered instantly. I am the administrator of the Joss Stone forum, so two flies at once in here.

I will have a look around in here and I assume you guys are willing to give a complete Noob some helpfull pointers. Thanx in advance.

Far as getting started on the bass, you came to the right place.
Careful though, it's easy to get in deep before you know it, but around here that could lead to new and better things.
Then again...getting in deep is a big part of what playing the bass is all about.
And no matter what anybody says, even if you become a pro level player, with decades of experience under your belt...
There's always someone else out there, that can blow you off the stage and make you feel like a complete noob, so no worries there mate.
