Hello,
I have searched for cheap bass tube amp (now i know that its doesnt exist!) and i find cheap "normal" guitar valve amp. What if i will connect it to bass cab?
I readed on basstalk that some people transform epiphone valve junior into bass amp.
How this proces looks like? Removing low pass filter? changing frequences on eq?

Here is the amp itself:

What do you think about it? Cost around 500$.

For that price you can buy a Bugera Veyron T BV1001T. It will have way more than 15 measley watts and drive any cabinet you may have. It is a hybrid though, tube preamp section solid state output section

$500?

OP pass on that nonsense. I can think of a TON of guitar amps in that (not-good-for-anything-but-recording-or-home-practice-for-bass) power range for way less.

Egnater
Jet City
Marshall
Epiphone
Crate
Peavey

Just off the top of my head. Heck some of those brands even have 100 watt all-tube amps in the $500 or under range on the used market.

One day I plugged my 100 watt Mesa Dual Rectifier (triple channel) into a variety of bass cabinets in my music room. It made a miserable bass head. For bass it had no headroom and sounded "brittle." I have two Bassman 100's and both surpassed the Mesa for volume and headroom.

I have two 2 EL84 amps. Both are simply awful for bass, even in my quiet computer room.

I've played with multiple lunchbox guitar amps that I've owned and 15w will not satisfy, even through a very nice bass cab. I tried it and found that I could easily fart louder.

For the cash I'd get a "tubey sounding" hybrid. Something u can actually use. Used B100R.

For guitar you can get the original design (Laney IRT Studio) for about the same price as the Mjolnir. If it were in the $300 range it would be a competitor.
