JP Basses Naia 12 Progress Thread

Wow, that's really amazing work! The design seems very functional, assuming that the balance is okay. Would you use a strap even when sitting?

Also, my hat's off to anyone that is willing to take the challenge of playing such an axe...you'd have to be an absolute master of muting strings, or they'd be ringing all over the place.

The JP 12 will be at the Masterclass.

I'll probably be teaching from a 5'er though (the class is geared is an intro/beginning course to tapping for 5-strings).

Looking forward to meeting you guys! Too bad my french is horrible :rollno:

Wish I could go.....any excuse to go to France AND learn some great bass stuff. Alas, I'm still in high school and have no means to get there.
c'est dommage

Have fun guys,
-Alex

Wow! Beautiful top. JP does really really nice work and his designs are extremely attractive. He's also a fantastic guy. He's helped me with info. and suggestions when I first researched having my short scale six built. JP had just become a father at that point and wasn't taking more orders when I was ready to get one built....but I teasured my bit of correspondence with him.
(2-3 yrs. ago.) Guess your fingers are just a bit longer than mine, Jean!

Someday it'll be great to hear what your butternut body sounds like. I haven't encountered that tonewood before. Cool!

You must be stoked!

A guy whose name is Jean Beaudin who doesn't speak french... actually, I've seen worse. Like people who have a fully french name and not speak the language at all, and worst of all, not even play bass!

That's a sweet bass. I wish I could be in Paris right now... :crying:

soooo nice
