Julia or Sea Machine??? Help me choose a new chorus pedal

I decided to change my DIY Zombie chorus and narrowed it down to these two options: the Sea Machine from EQD and the Julia form Walrus Audio.
Does anyone have any experience with them? What are their strong and weak spots?

If I'm not mistaken, the Sea Machine has a delay to it that can't be fully dialed out. Not sure if the same is true of the Julia. Really not a fan of that though. I'd go for something more conventional like a Boss chorus personally. I use a CE-2W and to me it sounds better than the Julia, although it doesn't have the vibrato mode.

Of those two, Julia. But I'd rather have a CE-2B or CE-2W.

I'll tell you the Julia is a beautiful chorus. It is one of the handful of boxes that I switched on for the first time and wowed me instantly. I'm not a huge user of chorus, but it would be my choice if I wanted a dedicated one. The vibrato on it is really, really nice too.

Even when the "dimension" setting is at minimum? I do not have one nor a Julia but have been quite curious about maybe trying one out. Mostly been eyeing Julia so far so I am interested in this thread as well although there have been several Chorus threads recently that can't convince me one way or the other so I suppose one just has to buy them all one at a time and find out for yourself...

The discontinued Bass Boost Chorus? Not sure if the OP could locate a used one, I can't seem to find one locally.

And finally, my "other" might be EHX Bass Clone Chorus. However, I can not vote for it because it is also the only Chorus pedal I have tried so far. It was the cheapest one to start my chorus quest with and actually quite nice.

What about a slight detune? I use a Boss PS-3 Digital Pitch Shifter/Delay (modes 4 and mostly 8) and it fattens up anything. I also use the EHX HOG2 with dry mixed in, step mode with a VERY slight pinch on the expression.

If not then I recommend the great effects in the Zoom MS-series

I love my EHX Bass Close. Dedicated to bas, it can add a lot of meat to the tone and is very flexible for something quite basic.

My limited experience w/ the Sea Machine led me to believe it was for a much more crisp, choppy, sea sick type of modulation than I'm usually shooting for while the Julia is one of my favorites. Much more chewy/thick sounding to me & easier to find the type of sounds I'm shooting for w/ guitar or bass.

Another +1 for the EHX Bass Clone... it delivers at a very affordable price!

Eventually, I went all out and picked up a 2nd hand IE Polytope here in the TB classifieds. It's got a bunch more bells and whistles that make it more than just a chorus too

Mine is dead silent. I have a Julia and an Analogman Mini Chorus. The latter is much noisier.
