Julia Roberts chases down papperatzi (sp)

Alright, Julia!!! You rock!!! \m/
The paparazzi are just ridiculous. While I realize that celebrities are putting themselves out there, people should be able to go to the store and buy lunchmeat, or pick up their kids from school, or have a beer in their backyard, without being stalked for a picture.

I know it would never happen but I'd love to see a celebrity wait near the checkout line in a supermarket and attack someone who buys a National Enquirer, Star, and other tabloid trash. Sure, the paparazzi are scum but they're only providing a service. I say we should let the celebrities eliminate the demand at the source and go after the people who are so interested in the tabloids. Then, when there's no money in it, the paparazzi will just fade away.

While I do despise the leaches who call themselves paparazzi, Julia's rage is more likely due to this picture they snapped....

Maybe it's a new trend-
And while I understand that it must be REALLY aggravating to have someone shove a camera in your face every time you venture out in public ( I wouldn't know!)- the thing that seems ironic to me is-
In both cases, the paparazzi present continued shooting pics and video, thus giving more airtime and more exposure to the celebs.
Cloney was upset about being cut off while on his bike, I guess I can understand that-In other footage I've seen, he actually seemed pretty cordial to the photogs that hounded him.
I don't know if Julia Roberts had an issue that set her off; but in the film, she chased after them, crossing yellow lines, as if to pursue them, and in the end, it probably gave them a good pay-out for the video! Don't know what may have precipitated her giving chase-She said something about them shooting near her kid's school, I believe. It might suck, but I guess if they weren't trespassing, or breaking laws, what can you (legally) do?
I've heard that there's a code of sorts among the celeb-photogs that where a star's kids are concerned, it's supposedly back-off time, although with the demand for pics of stars with their children (Pitt/Jolie, Madonna, et al) doubt it.
Wherever there's a $$ to be made, the shooters will be there.
I guess we have to blame the public who thrives on this sort of thing, everyday details about Paris, Lindsey, and so on.
I'd be happier myself if it were ANTHONY rather than MICHAEL Jackson that was getting all the attention. Not likely!

OK I'm gonna be brutally honest about this issue cause it ticks me off.
Why the **** do people care about celebrity lives!!!! It's so useless, worry about your own life not everybody else's. Celebrities are really just actors, musicians and people who work in the field of entertainment, just their job. I mean what goes through peoples heads thinking "oh my god Brad and Angelina blah blah blah blah" why care! Most people who seem to care though are these superficial MTV brainwashed crowd though, freakin pawns of corporatism. I hate these stupid tabloid magazines, shouldn't celebrities be known for their talents and performances more than their personal lives.
I know for one if I were ever followed by this scum then I would be such an @$$, probably break their cameras. I'd HATE it if my personal life was everybody else's business which it shouldn't be. Hell if I was famous enough I'd probably start a movement against it. It's true what Clooney said, a lot of these paparazzi pricks speed, cut in front of other cars and just are a danger to everybody else.

She's technically not parked in front of the sign..

Bingo! I'll tell you, one of the more disappointing experiences I have is when an attractive woman gets on the bus or train, then sits down and pulls out a copy of In Touch, the Enquirer, etc. Ugh!

Any paparazzi that endagerous the safety of innocent people or invades anyone's privacy deserves to get run over repeatedly (by a Hummer with snow chains!). They are at least partially responsible for Princess Diana's death.

All the goobers who find their excitement drooling over the minutiae of celebrities' lives should have someone follow them around and take pics of them buying toilet paper and Pepto, or at the beach with their dimpled butt hanging out, and plaster it on the front page of the local paper. Maybe then they'll realize how their obsession affects the lives of these famous human beings...they're human, they feel, just like everyone else. And how they fuel the cockroaches who take the pictures. They need a little emphathetic motivation.

You can't see the base of the sign because her vehicle is blocking it. The sign is DIRECTLY behind her parking space! She also backed into the space, so there is no doubt she knew the space was marked for handicapped. The parking on this street is angled, that's why the sign faces a slightly different angle than the vehicle. She is most definitely parked in a handicapped space. Which is without a doubt one of the most selfish acts an able-bodied human being can commit!

The difference in the angles is more than just "slight". If it's angled parking, then OK. But to say that her rage is more likely due to the picture than the paparazzi possibly taking shots of her kid or the school--maybe. She obviously has to deal with them every single day, I'm sure the rage was built up--I know that's the way I'd feel.Your kidding right??

And I do agree it's one of the most selfish acts that can be committed. Unfortunately, I've seen far worse cases, and they never get caught on camera. Just a few weeks ago, I saw a guy pull into a handicapped space, put on his flashers, and go in the grocery store. I came out 15 minutes later and his vehicle was still there! Oh yeah, and he was driving an H3--surprise, surprise!

Always seems to be the case doesn't it? Those people and the one's who park in the fire lane right at the front of the store, or leave the husband/wife at the wheel idling. You'd think they were part of a motorcade on it's way to solve a hostage crisis instead of just being too GD lazy to park and walk 55 ft to the store entrance.
I do not support the paparazzi in any way, especially when they involve the families, and think they should be treated as stalkers under the law when they trespass. The simple answer is to stop buying gossip mags & watching ET. The problem is, those same "stars" who later rail against the invasion of privacy are those who built their fortune for exploiting those same outlets.
