Julie Slick again

holy cow! that new drummer sure likes to take beats to odd places! can't tell if julie was getting into it or getting ready to go over there and slap him ;)

I was thinking that its a tempo interpretation of indiscipline. After the "I repeat myself when under stress. I repeat myself when under stress" refrain, there's a few stanzas that our own Julie is seemingly purposefully joining in with a few milliseconds of delay.

That sounds like Thela Hun Jinjeet from Discipline....

Not nearly as carefully performed as it would be were this KK, but then again, it looks like their actually having fun without Taskmaster Fripp there...

I saw the ABPT yesterday in Den Bosch, the Netherlands. AMAZING performance!! Nice to hear some Crimson tunes live again. I brought a friend of mine who's into lots of music, not particulary Crimson. He said it was the best show he'd seen in the last few years.

After the show I had a chance to talk to Julie briefly, who explained some of her effects and sounds. Very nice and talented lady! :bassist:

Haha, hey guys... yeah, this is first tour that we've performed "Indisco", without much rehearsal... every night it gets tighter and tighter... have you guys checked out our performance of it with Marco yet?

the only version i could find on youtube with marco was this one:

unfortunately, the first half of the intro got cut off. but man, all i can think about when i hear "indiscipline" is how primus totally ripped off king crimson for a major part of their sound.

hey julie, how do you and adrian manage to keep it together while the drummer's going all postal on you like that? looks to me like the two of you keep pretty good eye contact, eh?

yes... although as we play more and more shows, we get tighter together without having to really look at each other... having said that, I still glance over now and again, just to make sure we don't totally lose it. Controlled chaos - I like it!!!

right on. controlled chaos is what adrian's been about for about 35 years now, and this is about as chaotic as i've ever seen him. a lot of guys his age have gone soft and mellowed out some. he seems to have gone the opposite direction.

Ha - truer words have never been spoken!
