Just got a Rusty Box. Could I get a little guidance?

It's been quiet for me, at pretty high gain settings too.
Yeah, the adapter Tronographic sells is very flimsy...(grr!) I'm always on the lookout for a sturdier one.

If anyone knows of one, please chime in!

For anyone who doesn't want to deal with the 30v adaptor (ie. me), you can have the Rusty Box modded to use a regular 9v adaptor without it affecting the sound of the pedal (it takes power from a 9v adaptor and converts it internally).

Do you mean 30V? The stock power supply is 30V. Is the mod performed by Tronographic?

Thanks, yes, that's what I meant.

Tronographic doesn't do the mod, but @johnk_10 has modded these in the past. I assume there's others out there who could do the same mod if John isn't doing the mod at this time.

FWIW, the pedal will also run on lower voltages with the correct adaptor. I had emailed Tronographic about this when I still had a Rusty Box (LOVED that pedal and should probably get another), and they suggested it would still work at 18/24V which it does indeed. So if you have two free 9 or 12V outlets on a power supply to chain you can give it a try. The headroom and tone are changed somewhat but you'd have to try it to see what you think. I actually didn't notice a huge difference at 24V. I can't recall but think it may have required a center positive plug?I do know it was a different plug size than the standard center-pos 9V. Please correct me if I'm misremembering...
